Video Replay for Linux

The same delayed-replay panels as Windows and Android, built natively for Linux — from a Raspberry Pi 4 running headless in a gym corner to a desktop with a discrete GPU driving a 4K camera. Watch yourself train, seconds after you do it, on whatever machine you've already got.

What it does

Video Replay plays your camera back on a delay — up to four panels, each on its own delay — so you can walk back, look at the screen, and see the rep you just did. No one has to stand there filming you, and nothing leaves this computer unless you choose to send it.

Features

🎥 Any USB camera

Webcams, dedicated USB cameras and cheap UVC cameras all work — the app probes what's plugged in and picks the best pipeline for your hardware.

🔀 Two cameras at once

Where your hardware and USB bandwidth actually support it — tested at startup, not assumed.

⏱️ Up to 60 seconds delay

Each panel has its own slider, from live to a full minute behind.

🔲 Seven layouts

One panel up to a 2×2 grid, changed mid-session without dropping a frame.

🎬 Record with sound

No time limit, straight to ~/Videos/Video Replay, titled and timed automatically.

📡 Live share to OBS

Stream the replay to another computer on your network as a Media Source — no cables.

How to run it

  1. Download the AppImage above. It's a single file.
  2. Make it executable. Right-click the file → Properties → Permissions → tick Allow executing file as program. Or in a terminal:
    chmod +x ~/Downloads/VideoReplay-linux-x86_64.AppImage
  3. Plug in a USB camera and double-click the file.

Needs a 2024-or-newer distro: Ubuntu 24.04+, Linux Mint 22+, Fedora 40+, Debian 13 and similar. If double-clicking does nothing, or the camera isn't found, the manual's troubleshooting section has the fixes, or email support@webgecko.au.

One panel and unlimited recording length are free forever. Pro adds 2, 3 and 4-panel layouts and both cameras at once, for US$4.99 a month or US$49.99 a year.
